Pass Polska Spółka z o. o. is implementing the project: “Robotisation of processes related to the processing of metal tubes, which are conduits for fluid transmission in the automotive industry at Pass Polska.”

A step towards Industry 4.0

 

The objective of our company is to transform towards Industry 4.0. This will be achieved by implementing the programme assumptions, including the purchase of fixed assets. They are necessary for the transformation to be successful. The main activities will include automation, digitalisation, robotisation based on undertakings, purchasing and processes described below.
Thanks to investments in machinery – new machines and robots – the company will increase its production capacity and modernize processes. The result will include greater precision and control over the process, improved product quality, shorter lead times, cost reduction and increased safety.
Robotisation and digitalisation of production will also contribute to reducing environmental emissions, energy consumption and material losses.

Automated production cell

Name of task  no. 1: “Investment in the purchase of an automated production cell for the 0CK product.”

As part of the project, a fully robotic production cell will be purchased. The cell will enable automatic forming of tube and cable ends in accordance with the final customers’ instructions. It includes a set of machines: bending machines, upsetting and rolling mill machines and other devices for material processing.
A dedicated automated line and advanced features guarantee precise and repeatable processes.  Equipping the tool with a system of automatic feeding of materials to be processed – by robots between individual stations – will facilitate and speed up the production process.

Purchase of upsetting and rolling mill machines operated by robots

Name of task no. 2: “Investment in the purchase of 2 sets of machines: an upsetting and rolling mill machine, a feeder and receiver of tubes and robots operating the machine stations of the upsetting and rolling mill machine, a feeder and receiver of tubes.”

The investment consists of two stages:

  • replacement of production machines with more economical and effective ones,
  • purchase of two robots operating the production station.

The latest upsetting and rolling mill machines, operated by industrial robots, will allow for complete automation of the process, which will ensure the precision and accuracy required in the automotive industry.

Robotisation of the soldering station

The investment involves the modernization and reconstruction of soldering stations.  All chambers will be operated by 2 robots. The advanced tool, i.e. a robotic workstation, will improve the quality of the induction soldering process.

Robotisation of the product washing station

Name of task no. 5: “Robotization of the washing station for the 0CK products”

Modernization and adaptation of the washing machine to work with a robot.
The product washing station is a specialized tool for cleaning finished products that must meet the highest cleanliness standards applicable in the automotive industry. Equipping the station with a robot will allow for optimal process management and increase production capacity.
